It's slightly disturbing to notice that you're in one of someone else's art projects. Knowing that it was done for a reason would be creepy. It's even worst that you never saw them around when they did it. That's just wrong somehow.

Chicago:

All of that in a 12-hour period. Three seasons in a day is a bonus.

Sometimes you give people the benefit of the doubt (only because you feel like you have to, not because you actually want to) about stupid things, but then they go back and do something really asinine that throws that shit out of the window. For instance, the guy in the train station that thought it would be a clever idea for him and the child belted in the stroller to go through a section of the revolving door together.

Okay, here's the thing:

Someone going through a revolving door by themselves is already a life threatening experience. I'm sure the chances are higher when two people are in one section.

They have the conventional hinged doors on the side for a reason.

Those revolving door sections are only so big. I doubt if they made them with the intention that people would try to cram a big ass stroller in it. Especially with another person to push it.

The small child saying "Ow." after the door made a complete rotation, as the people exited, probably wasn't a good thing. That's just my guess though.

I always heard about these in high school. I never actually got one so before I graduated, I took it upon myself to leave with a souvenir. If these were given out in college, it might say something like this, roughly.

"You don't see people that look like that anymore."

Those people that look like someone's grandmother or outdated parent. They wear polyester or clothes that look like items from a resale shop, except it's something they've always had or worn. A certain era of people that you think should be gone, but find here and there and wonder what time machine they fell from. They don't make people like that anymore.

Nobody should have to share an area of any kind with someone that wreaks of microwaved ass. Especially on public transportation that isn't ventilated enough. I believe I saw a figure dressed in a black hooded robe that held a sickle waiting for those of us that noticed or could at least manage to focus on anything else.

If there's any truth to the thing about cell phones and cancer, half of the people in the world are already half dead. A solution to the overcrowding problem? This is merely a thought I get from my regular observations about things that people seemingly appear to not be able to live without. Oh, the hands free earbud/speaker headset is pointless if you're still holding the phone.

Going to the movies by yourself can be rather addicting. I should know, I just did it today. The movie of choice was Dawn of the Dead. Meandering around in the afternoon, from movie to movie, during a time when people are normally at work. Well, they must've all decided to take an extended lunch hour because the theater was a bit busy. Oh, the indecisive people in front of me. Theaters sell the same shit, all of the time. Pick something and fast. Popcorn or no popcorn. Candy or no candy. Pop or no pop. Diet or no diet. Mr. Gray Patch on the left side of head. As for the movie, I've yet to see anything that's scared the shit out of me, but it was enjoyable.

A Marshall Field's sales representative leaves the restroom without washing their hands.
When you leave, you see them go to a makeup counter.

Now that's a potential pinkeye outbreak waiting to happen.

I'm in no way a religious person, but if "two hours worth of blood" is all anybody can see in or say about The Passion of the Christ, there's no hope for anything having to do with them in the world. After that, anything petty seems minuscule and so do they.

I never thought I'd see the day when individually wrapped slices of American cheese would go bad. Today was the day and it was put to death. For some reason or another I thought it had the shelf life of a Twinkie. Those dried corners should've been a hint a few days ago.

People that work in specialty stores (camera stores, computer stores, office supply stores, and, etc.) are always the ones who look like they have no idea what's going on. So when people look like they don't know what's going on, chances are. . .they don't. Especially the person with all of the keys.

One of today's destinations totaled a time of 20-25 minutes. There's usually at least a 15 minute wait for just a bus. This doesn't count the walking that must be done after one gets off of the bus. Just when public transportation seems like the choice for better timing until you test yourself. Damn it. All of that wasted time.

Some freak was in the movie theater today with a clipboard, writing stuff. It didn't help that he stood next to each aisle as if he were tallying something. I felt like yelling out, "And what are you doing?" "I'm trying to watch a movie and that's a little hard to do with someone basically breathing down my neck, but from 10 feet away."

He was also wearing a scarf. A middle aged man wearing a scarf on his head and he wasn't a biker. If he were a biker, then a biker with a clipboard, tallying things. That should be more than enough.
