This is fucked

Dad's Jeep Cherokee was here before we left. It's gone now. It was 10 years old. Incidents like this makes one hate people even more. They can't go out and work hard to buy their own shit. That would make too much sense and require a little work to be done. Just from personal experience with theft, it really doesn't help to report it. I'm sure you'd get better results if you took matters into your own hands. I wouldn't be surprised if reporting something like this makes the situation worse. As conniving as people are these days, they'd think you had something to do with the theft. The empty space in front of the house, where it used to be, has a lot of history. This just adds one more check against the human race.

Walgreens has always been my choice place for getting film developed, even while I'm out of town today. As of late, I've been a fan of the "one hour photo" processing. It's more like two hours though. (Liars.) When I had to give the guy a phone number, it immediately triggered that I was out of town as he heard the area code.

Two and a half hours or so later. . .

I'm back at the store to pick up the film and there are 3 panoramic pictures in one of the envelopes. My camera doesn't have panoramic picture taking capabilities. Those 3 pictures are so pixelated, it's making my eyes ill. It's even better that he thought it would be a welcomed "good deed" to just blow the hell out of those 3 pictures as a little gift to take back home. . .since I'm out of town. This is exactly why it's handy to have a negative scanner.

Casino Strip Boulevard

Day two of the casino escapades. I won $273.00 last night/this morning. We were there until about 5:00am. I'm sure tonight will be the same. Maybe this time I'll even try the $1.00 slot machines. The 25¢ slot machines are my game of choice. Seeing anybody play the 5¢ slot machines is just dreadful. They have to work 5 times as hard to win what I'm winning. Forget about winning anything quietly.

constant noises from the machine + noisy money dropping in the bucket + the light on top of the machine flashing = being oogled by complete strangers and feeling the need to get into full defense mode

In less than 5 hours, I'll be on my way to somewhere else to have turkey come out of my nose and bad reactions to excessive amounts of vittels because I'm not used to it. The "have some more" phrase keeps popping up because you're the visitor. The smallest amount will do you in. This is an annual occurrence. Not to mention cramped knees because I have the longest legs in the house and that's just what happens on a road trip. This should be fun.

It would be fun to, all of a sudden, start running at full speed around some random people just to see who would follow.

This goes for looking up at something that's not there to see how many people would be nosy enough to join the pointless spectacle.

So tempting.

As hard as I'm trying. . .my Christmas list is not going to be as short as it should be. Games and toys are going to be a priority as always, except for a camcorder accessory or two. Where is the shame? It's there somewhere. . .hiding for good reason.

Weird dreams again. Last night I was smoking a cigar in this one. It was chocolate flavored and had chocolate sprinkles around it. There was barely any smoke coming from it. I was in a club or something, like one of those mob movies. Sitting at a table with one of the bosses. This is too much. . .smoking a chocolate cigar covered with chocolate sprinkles and cavorting with crime bosses.

School was much more enjoyable since fewer people were there, like today, a typical Friday. Vacant computer labs everywhere. It was actually quiet. What a rarity. A true chance to see the vastness of this campus. Nobody to walk past my computer screen and see that I was playing lots of games and watching movie trailers.

There was a small discussion among a few of us today.

What's the difference between excretion and secretion?

dictionary.com states:

excretion n.
  1. The act or process of discharging waste matter from the blood, tissues, or organs.

  2. The matter, such as urine or sweat, that is so excreted.

secretion n.
  1. The process of secreting a substance, especially one that is not a waste, from the blood or cells: secretion of hormones; secretion of milk by mammary glands.

  2. A substance, such as saliva, mucus, tears, bile, or a hormone, that is secreted.

Of course a project was the root of this. Luckily it's just the word that's being used.

I have proof that cookies can burn while being warmed in the microwave. Now the smell won't go away. I should've known something wasn't right when, after a little while, I couldn't see the cookie through the microwave window.

I got up early enough to do some of my laundry before I left today. I forgot to do it last night. Horrible. Slipping. I had nothing else to do, but that and I didn't do it. Maybe I can blame it on the Wizard of Oz. I was watching that last night. Yeah, it was the Wizard of Oz. It's always someone or something else's fault.

There are plenty of commercials that have talking food or inanimate objects that come to life. Sometimes cartoons have them too. Everybody's always really calm and sometimes they talk back to the food or inanimate object. I'm sure it would be the complete opposite with me though. In fact, I know it would be the complete opposite. There wouldn't be anything calm about that situation.

You would've sworn they were giving away food with the crowd that occupied the grocery store. There were people everywhere. . .as if it were a holiday. This is exactly why we don't like to go to the grocery store earlier than usual. At least nobody ran into my heel with a shopping cart. When that happens, someone deserves to be given "the look of death". It's much better if you see it happen to someone else though. Sometimes the cart lifts up near the back from such an impact. You can just feel the pain.

For a while now, I've had the urge to make something creative out of transparencies. I used them for a project once, but I'll have to do my own investigating to handle this matter. A little something non-academic, shall I say. As usual, I don't have anything specific yet. It always involves being printed from an inkjet printer. There's a start.

It's been a while since I've seen somebody try to cram a floppy into a ZIP drive. That means it's time to scour some building on campus for "floppy cramming hopefuls." I've had pretty good luck in the past with the Science and Engineering building. Floppy usage runs rampant in these parts.

The Matrix Revolutions had to be seen today because it's the last of a trilogy, or so they say, for now anyway and I'm a huge fan of anything related to The Matrix. Movies like this always have a "cliffhanger ending" so if they ever decide to make more, it was already sort of implied that another would follow. I'll just say that it has one of the longest fight scenes imaginable.

This morning's epiphany was:

Cream cheese goes with anything and everything.

I knew that quite a while ago, but today just etched it in stone.

I'm finding that the one bad thing about being in a class without windows is. . .you have no idea what the hell is going on outside. Everything seems like it happens suddenly. Which leads me to my point. The drainage system is really bad at school. The sidewalks disappear under a mass of water if a drop of rain falls. The slightest thought that anybody has about rain floods the campus. I'd rather not think about how much worse it could've been if I didn't take my umbrella this morning as I left the house.

It's a bitch to walk long distances in leather. Not a jacket, but a coat. I'm a very warm blooded person and I walk a lot, so this makes me even warmer. Add the leather and I'm like a human walking furnace. I have to be the only person that can actually sweat in 50º weather and lower without doing some sort of exercise regimen or wearing layers of clothes. I suppose overactive sweat glands are the culprit because I never get tired after all of this movement, which means I can't be out of shape. . .that much anyway. I also tend to do unnecessary walking because "every little bit helps". This is the reason why I come to class with a little sweat over my brow. Glutton for punishment? Sure.

One pair of black knee socks. Yes, just one pair. Buying men's socks doesn't help because they have chicken legs too. Then you have to order shit from catalogs and they sell socks that cost about $10.00 a pair. (Maybe that's a little exaggerated, but I'm sure it's not too far off.) Sock manufacturers think everybody has chicken legs. My legs aren't huge, but they aren't birdlike either.

Chicken legs are a slight pet peeve of mine. Just do some leg lifts and we won't have a problem.

*boos* Halloween should be treated as a two day event. For one thing, people really don't start their Halloween things until later in the day, which means only a quarter of a day to wreak havoc. So, it should spill over to the next day. Problem solved. Not to mention more time to refine your method of scaring the shit out of people and a reason to leave the decorations up longer. That's always fun.
