Every once in a while, on my way to school, I see this crazy man who drives the hell out of his little van. He winds and twists on his steering wheel as if it will magically make him fly over the other cars or something. If anything, it makes others want to clear the path for him. I'm convinced he'd tear something up if he were given the chance. What an asshole.

Today I had lunch with some very nice people from Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream. It all started with a newsletter. I get the ChunkMail Newsletter and one day I decided to reply to a request about them wanting to meet Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream customers. I'm always entering contests and I figured they'd be too busy to reply or just pick somebody else, but I tried it anyway. I had no idea they would actually answer. It's nice to know that there are still companies that acknowledge their customers and appreciate their input and dedication.
Thank you Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream. You have a huge fan in Chicago.

*puts on the "feed me the bullshit" face*
Scraggly One: I'm trying to get to Grand Rapids, Michigan. I'm still short $5.80. Could you help me?
Me: *shakes head in the "no" gesture*
Then I see him ask 2 more people. (I saw him ask a couple of people before I got there also.) Finally he walks elsewhere.
1. What the hell was he doing coming from Grand Rapids, Michigan without having enough money to get back?
2. He must've thought we'd all fallen off a turnip truck.
His face looked a little dirty so I'd assumed he wasn't the traveling type and would probably use the money for something else far from going back to Grand Rapids, Michigan.

I really expect to see a "spectacular" commercial when people create all of this "hoopla" and waste so much money that could obviously be put to better use. Instead of seeing who can spend the most money, they should try more brainstorming.

I've come to the realization that it isn't healthy for a school project to infest my mind like it continues to, yet. . .
I can't clear my mind of it for 1 minute. Insane.

I'm doing a project at school and I'm planning to use sound. The choice of sound is: horns honking. I'm really surprised how hard it is to find a good horn honk when I still have my recorder out and ready. The minute I put all of my recording equipment away, I can't get people to STOP honking their horns. Damn those gnomes!

Some of the toys that I got when I was little are coming back with full force. I still have them, so I can tell how much they've changed from the original releases. Strawberry Shortcake has straight hair now, wears blue jeans and has a website and He-Man looks a little too young.
I'm waiting for Jem to return now.

There's nothing like stepping in a nice, cold, puddle of water that was left on the floor by somebody that was just outside, in the snow. This includes oneself, when you've forgotten to mop the floor after traipsing around outside. *gasps and raises shoulders to ears*

Hey (name of a company)! I know that you've changed the recipe or size of your product. Either you don't care or you think people who've been buying your products for years are too stupid to notice the change. Well, I do. If your product's sales are starting to drop, it's because we notice all. Now stop trying to charge me the same price for something that's half the size it used to be and it tastes half as good.

Today in one of my classes, we were all told to write a check or pay cash (if it's acceptable) for our lab fee. For some reason it wasn't added to all of our bills. I thought technology was supposed to make things easier.

It's amusing when somebody tells you a story that they've told you in the past. They never state that they've told you the story before, but proceed in redundancy. You sit there and listen as if it's something new to you when you know the story could've been recited from memory, from the last time. Then you think to yourself: Do they know they've told me this before and just want to tell me again, for good measure? OR Do they not remember telling me this story 100 million times before and think this is something new to me?

I didn't have to spend much money on books this time. $27.73 + tax was my total. This sounds unreal. That number is too low. College is supposed to suck every penny from a student, right? Oh. . .that's right! I'm an art student. It's the supplies that gets me.

Yeah! It's the first day back. The schmoes who run things around there neglected to tell people (taking a certain class) that the room we thought it was going to be held in is wrong! It was really the first room that was listed in our booklet. So. . .we easily missed almost 30 minutes of a 1 hour class. It's a good thing that this is just the first day of the first week. Somebody's going to make me rip them a new one if they keep it up. Do your job and stop giving us the wrong classrooms!

Yeah, yeah. Another dream. . .
This time it was in a place that was supposed to look like a mall. When I walked to the other end of the "mall" there were these large chattering teeth. I walked through this tunnel that was behind the teeth as if I were going into a mouth and there were other people back there making hot-dogs and cheeseburgers. When I got to the end of the tunnel, my destination was a classroom (very similar to an old fashioned schoolhouse) that I've seen in 1 of my recurring dreams.

If I can't find anything better to watch on television, I need to just walk away.

Poltergeist?
Tonight I saw my DVD player come on by itself. I was flipping through the channels and I heard a slight buzzing noise. I looked up and the screen on the DVD player read: loading. The remote I was using is only for the television and it's not universal.

Last night I dreamt about buying grape juice. I couldn't find any, so I opted for orange juice. Then I couldn't find any regular orange juice. All of it was really fancy and overly expensive. One bottle had the word "rich" on the label. It was all priced at about $8 or more per container. That must've been some orange juice.
